The ZTE AXON 7 Mini is essentially a smaller, slightly less powerful version of the Axon 7. It looks identically to Axon 7 in both design and layout but smaller. As shown in the following pictures, it’s built in an aluminium body with softly curved design. It also features the same speaker grills layout as Axon 7 that are placed above and below the display. Other similarities include the layout of camera lens, fingerprint sensor, ports and buttons.

The screen size of the ZTE AXON 7 Mini shrinks to 5.2 inches. And the display resolution also lower to 1920 x 1080 (FHD). It’s an AMOLED curved-edge display. Thus, it’s bright enough to cope with sunny days, and doesn’t lose brightness when viewed from an angle.

In side the AXON 7 mini, you’ll find the Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor, along with 3 GB of memory, 32 GB of storage, and SD Memory Slot expandable up to 128GB. For graphics section, the graphics calculations are handled by the Adreno 405 GPU. As for a lower price, this configuration is as expected and is better than many other phones at this price range.

The AXON 7 Mini is running on Android 6.01 as default. But it has finally been updated to Android 7.1.1. Thus, users who are thinking of buying this phone rest assured that it’s able to support Android 7.1.1.

The AXON 7 Mini is equipped with two cameras. On the rear cover of the phone, you’ll find a 16MP rear-facing camera with an f/1.9 aperture and phase detection autofocus, as well as a dual LED flash. It can shoot video in 1080p @ 26fps. In terms of quality, it apparently can’t keep up with the 20MP of Axon 7, but overall not bad. For selfie and video chat, there is a 8MP front camera.

The battery capacity of AXON 7 Mini is 2705mAh that is a bit disappointed. But ZTE boasts that the battery can support up to 270 hours standby with a full charge. Besides, ZTE implements an Ultra Power-Saving Mode which will extend the runtime. With Qualcomm® Quick Charge™ 2.0 technology, the AXON 7 Mini generally take 90 minutes for a full charge.
